A goal-based health tracker designed to provide insight into mental and physical health and encourage overall wellness.
Problem space
Depression and anxiety affect millions of people around the world. One helpful and common tool is journaling. However, quantifying trends over time can be quite difficult when your primary source of data is natural language.
Understanding how mental and physical health relate and affect one another can be difficult.
User archetypes
Individuals coping with depression and/or anxiety
Individuals concerned with holistic health
Setting goals and building new habits is difficult without guidance, support, and consistent effort.
Product strategy
Allow users to quickly track psychological state, paired with additional data on physical health such as diet and step tracking. Pair tracking with goal-setting and healthy habit formation.
Clear and engaging data visualization
Emotional and physical states of being exist in a delicate interplay. How might we give users insight into this dynamic?
Drive behavior change with goals
Daily and weekly goals have been shown to be an effective means of driving positive behavior change.
Emotional data was supplemented by a short journal entry, with the option to attach a location. Eventually, the user could visualize a map of their emotional states.
Product evolution
The product evolved to eventually include tracking of diet, activity, and meditation.
Pain points
Tracking and visualizing trends from natural language sources is difficult. Building and maintaining spreadsheets is time consuming.
